My path to psychotherapy began in Thunder Bay, where I worked as an addictions counsellor with Indigenous communities. It was there, witnessing the resilience and courage of my clients, that I discovered my true calling in mental health support. They collectively inspired me to deepen my skills and pursue my Master's in Counselling Psychology—because they deserved more than I could offer at the time, and I wanted to be able to show up for people in the fullest way possible through effective therapy.
Since then, my journey has taken me through diverse roles: as a Registered Behavioural Therapist working with children and families, as a crisis counsellor supporting individuals in their most vulnerable moments, and now as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), building my own practice focused on trauma-informed care.
These experiences have shaped how I show up in therapy—with cultural humility, an understanding of how systems impact mental health, and deep respect for the strength it takes to ask for help. I've sat with people in addiction, crisis, trauma, grief, and transformation. I know that healing isn't linear, and I'm here for all of it, including virtual therapy options for those who need them.
I believe therapy is most powerful when it's grounded in genuine connection. You won't find clinical distance here—you'll find someone who sees your humanity, honours your story, and walks alongside you with both professional expertise and authentic care.
Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Criminal Justice (HBSSc) with a focus on mental health support, Specialized Honours in Psychology (HBSc) with a thesis on non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and previously a Registered Behavioural Therapist experienced in therapy with individuals on the spectrum and difficulties with emotional regulation.
Overwhelming worry, panic attacks, perfectionism, burnout, and the exhausting weight of living in constant fight-or-flight can take a toll on your mental health. Seeking mental health support through psychotherapy or therapy can help you find calm, especially when your nervous system won't settle. Consider exploring trauma-informed care or virtual therapy options to address these challenges effectively.
Navigating the death of a loved one, relationship endings, identity loss, or any significant loss that has reshaped your world can be overwhelming. Grief isn't linear, and that's why I'm here to provide mental health support through therapy. Whether you're seeking psychotherapy or virtual therapy, I offer trauma-informed care for all aspects of your journey.
Processing difficult experiences, breaking cycles, and rebuilding safety are essential components of mental health support. Healing through psychotherapy doesn't erase the past—it changes your relationship to it, allowing trauma-informed care to ensure that the damage no longer controls your life. Virtual therapy options can also provide the support needed in this journey.
Navigating complex family relationships, understanding generational patterns, setting boundaries with parents or siblings, and healing from family-of-origin wounds that still impact you today can greatly benefit from mental health support. Engaging in psychotherapy or therapy provides trauma-informed care, which is essential for addressing these issues. Additionally, exploring virtual therapy options can offer convenient access to the support you need.
Career changes, breakups, relocation, identity shifts, and major life events can leave you feeling unmoored or uncertain about what comes next. During these times, seeking mental health support through psychotherapy or therapy can be invaluable. Trauma-informed care, including options like virtual therapy, can help you navigate these challenges and find clarity.
Understanding why certain patterns keep showing up, setting healthy boundaries, navigating intimacy and conflict, and recognizing how early experiences shape the way you relate to partners and friends are essential aspects of mental health support. Engaging in psychotherapy or therapy can provide trauma-informed care, helping you explore these dynamics. With the rise of virtual therapy, you can access these insights from the comfort of your home.
Understanding the function self-harm serves is an important aspect of mental health support. By developing safer coping strategies through psychotherapy, we can address the underlying pain without judgment. Emphasizing trauma-informed care helps in healing the relationship with your body while finding new ways to manage overwhelming emotions, including through virtual therapy.
Executive dysfunction, sensory overwhelm, masking and unmasking, rejection sensitivity, and navigating a world not built for neurodivergent brains can be challenging. That's why mental health support is essential for managing daily obstacles, addressing shame, and understanding how ADHD and/or autism impact your relationships, work, and sense of self. Through trauma-informed care and virtual therapy, late-diagnosed adults are welcome to explore these issues in a supportive therapeutic environment.
Meeting you where you are without judgment, our mental health support focuses on exploring the relationship between substances and coping. We address shame and isolation through psychotherapy, understanding triggers and underlying wounds while providing trauma-informed care. Our approach allows you to work toward change at your own pace—whether that means harm reduction, moderation, or recovery. Additionally, we offer virtual therapy options to ensure you have access to the support you need.
